I would be willing to let the big event of last week be reversed if the one of this week could be also.
Anyway, the big one of last week turned into a giant headache at work. Half of my work day is now spent in the Testing Center, giving tests to kids who missed them or are allowed to retry (don't ask, I don't know). 900 went to the Cubs rally and had to come in to make up tests they missed. Most come in during their lunches, and two of the three lunch periods are when I'm there. The line has been taking more than half the period just to get in the door. Plus, I have to help hand out tests for the other lunch period before I go to my own lunch, which this week has meant I didn't even get my full 30 minutes.
Except for Wednesday, when not only was it Late Arrival Day (school starts 75 minutes later than normal), but also we had an assembly so the kids could hear Chris Herren speak about being addicted to heroin while playing in the NBA. That left the periods at only 25 minutes, so we just closed the Testing Center for the day.
So yeah, I could live without the World Series win if it meant certain other things also didn't happen.

Not thinking about it. It's the weekend. Although I heard "Just another manic Monday" on the radio today. I may want to play it about 3:30 on Monday. "Wish it was Sunday..."

I'm sitting here on my couch thinking 'damn it's nice to be retired'!!! I too hated those very hectic weeks were no matter how much you did the list of to do stuff just kept getting longer and longer!! But now that I am retired the to do list is as short or as long as I want it to be, if I think it's too long things get scratched off and if I remember in a month or two they might, or might not, go back on it again. Too long of a to do list isn't healthy so it gets purged every once in a while!! If I don't remember what I purged off of it it must not have been that important!!
It's been a busy "car" week this week. Had Trans. Fluid, and Brake Fluid changed, had the Fan Motor Assembly inside the car replaced, and just came back from a Free Pass for car wash. The fluids and Fan Motor Assembly cost $390+; $239 for the fluids, and almost $158 for the Fan Motor Assembly.
Now, all I need is to save for the Coolant Flush service some time next year.

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
A dreary morning win for me.

If you aren't getting a full lunch break, make sure you talk to the union and H/R. It seems they may owe you a bit of $$$.
