I decided not to excuse

I decided not to excuse myself from the penalty of double posting because I have that power *frank blink all down nose* and what I can do with it frightens even me at times.

I'm sorry to hear you might be suffering retaliation from a reconstituted cow, Dr Bacon :( It happened to me once. It really wasn't very nice at all :/ I've found off water really bad too :(

I hope that's made you feel a little better? My bedside manner is again being honed this weekend, so it'll be nice if everyone can get some benefit from it :)

So what you're saying is that he's even skinnier than Chris

Yes. He didn't used to be though. There really isn't that much left he can eat that doesn't make him poorly one way or another. So we weigh the same now even though he's taller and swells a bit.

oH

Chris! I see you found your way out from the potplant... a welcome change of direction I hope? :)

*wave big warm smile at everyone*

I'd have been here sooner but I wasn't

edit: unless it was lamb or chicken. Not cow *long mournful look* or vegetable. I really did leap to a conclusion there, didn't I?

LATE EDIT: I'm always taken aback by just how off vegetables go when they go off :/

aprporpos apropro  ap pro pro *glare* apropos my edit :) this post has only just been posted now which is about two hours after the two hours ago when it wasn't there but everything else here was :)

*knit brows together*

I forgot why I just did that... *slow insulting snort*  It was something I said up there that made me think of something else which meant they suddenly seemed inappropriate unknitted. But I remember now. It was because I realised I couldn't make what it was I was going to say make sense... as I have AMPLY demonstrated HERE for you all *point in every direction that's up* for which you are all, very very welcome... :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Ermmm, is that the power or your nose?? Either way be afraid people , be very afraid ....

Chris! I see you found your way out from the potplant... a welcome change of direction I hope? :)

Annie! I was snoozing in quiet oblivion behind the aspidistra, when I got rudely awakened by a probing proboscis. Yes people, quite a shock that early in the morning I can tell you.

I'd have been here sooner but I wasn't

Annie says she has gone out to find herself, if she gets back before she returns, please ask her to wait.

And it's all free folks, no charge! I ask you, where else could you get this level of high brow intellectual repartee on a Sunday morning? There used to be Hyde park Corner years ago , but it's more cosy indoors in this inclement weather!

Aprporpos apropro  ap pro pro pros po po (gosh she's got me at it now!) Regarding the bedside manner, I trust you'll be handy with a bowl of nourishing soup if I ever get at death's door with man flu?

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

I find protein shakes work for me when I feel hungry or badly, I never tried them until about 18 months ago, but they do make me feel full and seem to keep the stomach from rumbling. Try to find the veggie or whey isolate ones though if being sick is the problem, sometimes cows milk based ones can make things worse. I also use water or almond milk in mine too when I use the powdered stuff. I also found a new for me kind of milk, the brand is "Fairlife" and it's cows milk but extra, extra filtered and it doesn't bother me at all. I have no clue if they have that stuff across the pond whre you are though. It tastes like regular milk and mixes into stuff like it, it just doesn't bother me like regular milk does. And NO it's NOT the straight from the cow stuff either, it's pasteurized etc, etc, etc like 99% of US milk is.

No we don't have that here in

No we don't have that here in the UK Fairlife

Fairlife, stylized as fairlife, is a brand of milk distributed in the United States by The Coca-Cola Company. The milk comes in four varieties: reduced fat, chocolate, fat-free, and whole milk.

If it's a cure for manflu you're looking for, Chris, me approaching with a needle might work faster.

Protein is quite toxic to him nowadays, Mikey :/ and has to be taken with phosphate binders which don't make him feel too well either, and milk's calcium, phosphorus, and potassium are iffy too because machines are nowhere near as good as kidneys at dealing with them, particularly when you think you're doing the right thing getting him a soy substitute only to find it's been enriched with the very things you bought it to avoid :/ I have to read everything everywhere nowadays, so I'm glad I learned how :) but my arms aren't long enough with very small writing so I often need to put things on the floor then loom over them... which can be quite disruptive in shops.

It's been said I should get glasses, people *beam at einsteinians* but every person I've ever known who has had glasses to correct long-sightedness, have ended up very short-sighted, which suggests to me that once in their clutches, optometrists intend to keep you there.  They'd keep my nose occupied I suppose but balancing stuff on it tends to give me migraines so I'll put that off till I need to take a ladder with me to read  stuff off the floor.

Did you all have a nice weekend...? *leave without waiting for answers*

I'm very sorry to hear that, it certainly makes life difficult!!

I buy the cheap bulk store glasses, dollar store even, and get them strong enough for now, then when they stop working I get a new cheap pair. I DO have some of the eye Dr ones but as you think they are VERY expensive, even with insurance, and having a pair everywhere would be too expensive thru them!! I must have 6 or more pairs of the cheap ones so wherever I sit down I have a pair there for me to use. No hunting for where I left them!! I even have a spare pair in the car just in case I forget to take my usual going out pair with me.

I'm beginning to understand

I'm beginning to understand why weather forecasting can be so hit and miss

*process random thought*

Your epiglottis and uvula appear to be waking up very well this morning, David :) if a little rushed...

edit@ Mikey: My reluctance may also have something to do with the amount of time I spend helping other people find their glasses. I'm not sure there are enough hours in a day to find mine as well. Six pairs could work... or make things a lot harder :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
