Most biblical scholars agree that if the description in the Bible is correct, the likely site for the Garden of Eden was in the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates in what is modern day Iraq. Very unlikely in America which the Holy Lands wouldn't have even known existed. Certainly no tree of knowledge around here :-))

Those Indians wanted to bring that tree with them. It was their biggest triumph taking that tree with them. They did get assisted by the Mayas though. (See I have a rather big imagination)
Wikipedia a freely available public collection of knowledge that is peer reviewed. That is the whole basis of of it. If anyone reads a Wiki article that they believe is wrong, or they have something useful to add, they can do so on-line. The amendment is copied to the original author who can reject or accept the amendment.
Contrast that with paying hefty money for a paper book based encyclopedia, where you find an inaccuracy or you have first hand knowledge to usefully expand an article. You then have to write in to the Author and publishers, stating your case, and hope that they agree to amend their edition next time they choose to publish it.
Having said that, nobody can know everything about everything, which is why most encyclopedias have an editing board and a number of contributors from various fields. Most paper encyclopedias sit on bookshelves as reference works, only accurate the day they were compiled. They cannot compare with a live volume, with millions of on-line readers every day.
Having said that you don't take Wiki as gospel, mistakes do get made, which can be quickly corrected. And it is also true that most Universities and Colleges won't accept excerpts from Wiki articles in a Thesis, Essay, or Dissertation. What you should do is use Wiki as a pretty good source of up to date basic information to start you off, and most pages give you links to further reading about a subject. I have amended and added to some 1/2 a dozen Wiki pages over the years. Only a small number as I'm not an expert in any one field. But I have a good eye for detail and sometimes pertinent local knowledge.
And by the way after 144 years in print the Encyclopedia Britannica is now only available in digital format, and you can search it on-line now. The previous 32 volume printed set cost $1400 (£1065). Clearly they saw the success of the Wikipedia initiative and followed suit at last.

Wikipedia is nonsense. Always was and will be. Peer reviewed could simply mean one idiot has checked another. Not being corrected/contradicted does not equate to being true. Wikipedia has neither the processes nor access to actual domain specific expertise that would even begin to promote factual accuracy. Truth is not a matter of acclamation, eminence, repetition, group agreement or disagreement, nor mode of presentation. As a common repository of the world's knowledge it is an epic fail. It has deceived many people into the delusion of relevance and co-opts by manipulating emotion devoid of intellect. It is the modern day archetype of form replacing substance. At best it might be accidentally true in any given instance.
It is however a freely available public collection of beliefs. Belief is what is inside people's heads or hearts ie. what they personally hold to be true. If you want to know what truly exists outside of people's heads then you'd best search elsewhere.
Cheers, Mike.

Major engineering works that will cause severe disruption at the UK's busiest rail station have begun, as passengers were also delayed by a signal failure. The £800m project started on Saturday and will close 10 platforms at London Waterloo until 28 August.
Rail chiefs urged passengers to consider taking a holiday, working from home or travelling earlier or later than normal while the project is under way.
Network Rail will hand out free ice cream at London Victoria, London Bridge and Euston next week as part of a promotional campaign to remind people to plan their journeys in advance.
