I'm contemplating setting up my raspberry pi today. I could just use the supplied OS, but I'm not a Debian girl. There is a Fedora port for the RPi. But I'll have to buy a new SD card to use that. I don't want to over write the known good OS.
I plan on a trip to Silverdale on tuesday to see if Best Buy has a 75-80 inch 4K UHD to replace the Samsung version since I got one last month that is getting returned for being junk and Samsung uses a warranty that says in small print we just want your money and we don't let you use any warranty

That's not good, that's the same brand my installer loves and recommends, I have a 55" Samsung in my bedroom right now.
Not that I enjoy playing Grammar Nazi (although sometimes I do...), but shouldn't that be:
"wrap head in tinfoil" ?
They come to take you away that way round... *blink blink of misunderstood crackpot* worse even than that... they can take your hat away without you inside it...
The pain the other way round is more bearable I find ;)
It was a PEBCAK
I don't always find those recoverable-from. Especially when they're compounded by an intractable problem between the ears
*doff nose respectfully at nose bleed seats* Well done :)
I caught a glimpse of a program that mentioned black bees in Cornwall I think it was, which they thought were extinct, but aren't. They're bigger and hairier and less aggressive than some - but even so, I think I would struggle a bit with the heebie-jeebies if I had to move a hive of any kind, even though I'm very fond of bees. I'm glad there are people who are and aren't.
*frown* ^That^ might need some work. I don't think I'm saying I'm glad there are people who aren't fond of bees and don't get the heebie-jeebies moving the hive. If anything, I'd prefer it if they weren't allowed near it at all to be honest...
Oh... you're all asleep. When did that happen?
*leave note for MAGIC hoping no one notices the small print he's noticed*
:)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
Yep, I live 3 mi s of Silverdale. If you're a member you might want to check out Costco, they are next door to Best Buy and have a pretty good selection of TVs.
Off now to find out why they're not happy with my home heart tests. I thought they went rather well ... nothing fell off or got dropped in the bath. I didn't snare myself in vegetation, nor inadvertently garrotte myself with any of the tubing... everything appeared to be in working condition when I gave it back... I don't know what more they could have wanted...
I'll work on my TLPTPW winning speech while I'm out ;)

SD cards are cheap now, but https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ has an image* so don't fret too much about erasing it.
Let us know how the project goes.
