So what it takes to get people to post here is Seti being down unexpectedly. Okay.

Ya did it again, Bill!

I got 361.91 from the nVidia

I got 361.91 from the nVidia site and is crunching Astropulse tasks, using also Open CL. Einstein GPU tasks have failed so far on my PC with both ATI/AMD and nVidia GPUs.

Seti is rapidly losing it's former status as one of the best projects since it always seems to be down

I don't think that is quite true Mikey :-) It was the original project that is true, but as Richard says they don't get sufficient funding. If you would like to donate a new webserver for them I'm sure they'd be delighted to welcome you with open arms. A lot of their kit does need replacing that is true, but what they do with what they have got is simply amazing.

I actually offered one years ago and they said "no thanks we aren't paying to ship it", it was very heavy and I wasn't paying, so I gave it to a friend who is still using it!! I live on the East Coast and they are on the West Coast, they only wanted NEW stuff anyway, not 'used' stuff.

You have to remember Mikey

You have to remember Mikey that they are hardly likely to want to accept secondhand stuff that is out of guarantee, with an unknown history, and might conk out inside a few months for all they know. Also any server would have to fit in their racks. Also they have limited funds that wouldn't run to shipping heavy stuff. It wasn't that they weren't grateful for the offer, they just have to be pragmatic about it.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Hi Tullio,
That is disappointing :(
The GTX-750 is a good card for Einstein - from what I've
read on the boards.
Hope someone on here can point the way to a solution for
the failed tasks.

Take Care,
Bill

It is running now an Einstein

It is running now an Einstein GPU task. SETI GPU tasks ended OK and I readmitted Einstein tasks. Maybe the installation of the driver was not perfect, so I reinstalled it. Thanks.
