It could be, you won't know

It could be, you won't know until we get there! Oh my gosh what a cliff hanger, can we contain ourselves in anticipation one asks?

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

You have to remember Mikey that they are hardly likely to want to accept secondhand stuff that is out of guarantee, with an unknown history, and might conk out inside a few months for all they know. Also any server would have to fit in their racks. Also they have limited funds that wouldn't run to shipping heavy stuff. It wasn't that they weren't grateful for the offer, they just have to be pragmatic about it.

While at the same time they were SCREAMING on-line about how their own Server had crashed and NO workunits were being sent out, makes sense to me!! They were down for more than 2 weeks until someone donated a rack Server, that they then had to ask for donations of cash so they could buy the memory to go into it!! Mine had 64gb of memory in it and was also loaded full of hd's, but they were picky and my friend is still a very happy camper!!

Well Mikey, I obviously cannot comment any further as I know nothing about this matter, but it does seem to have been many years ago by the sound of it. It is a real shame if it has soured your view of the project because of it.

It is running now an Einstein GPU task. SETI GPU tasks ended OK and I readmitted Einstein tasks. Maybe the installation of the driver was not perfect, so I reinstalled it. Thanks.

Howdy Tullio !

It appears that you have successfully completed both a
(Arecibo, GPU) v1.52 GPU work unit and, a (Parkes PMPS XT) v1.57 (BRP6-Beta-cuda55) work unit !

Congratulations on that !

Oh that was FAR from the straw that broke the camels back for me and Seti, that was just one incident of MANY that drove me away. But it it what it is and there are MANY other Projects out there that I am more than happy to participate in.

Yes, RAC is climbing on both

Yes, RAC is climbing on both Einstein and SETI. The board must be good. It used to start the fan once in a while, but since I updated the driver, it is silent.
