Well you all know the gig :

1. To participate in the game, you must post to the prescribed thread.
2. A post must consist of at least one word.
3. A participant may not have two or more consecutive posts in the thread.
4. The winner of an episode is responsible for organizing the next episode and for choosing the winner of that episode.
5. The winner may be chosen on the basis of the date/time of the post, the number of the post in the thread (50th post; 31415th post; ...), the presence/absence of a particular word/phrase in the post, or any other reason selected by the organizer of the episode. However, the organizer of an episode is prohibited from winning that particular episode.
6. Have fun!

What I want to  know is Where's Annie ? :-((

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I have just seen a strange

I have just seen a strange bit of news. An Australian politician declared that his intentions were completely dishonourable in a communication to a young woman and was consequently sacked. This must be for telling the truth.

Wow, they shut it down

Wow, they shut it down because of the party that started over in the cafe. Now we'll have to move here.

Alas, yes. It seems some sort

Alas, yes. It seems some sort of rash of irresponsibility has broken out amongst the members of that party. The rash normally starts in the nether regions and is liable to spread electronically. It has to reach a threshold of significance in certain spheres ( eg. TwitHeadSphere ) for more permanent symptoms to set it. Best treated early with a cold compress or failing that a really hot one. May involve electoral whiplash, and I do mean the lash here. In the end-stage sufferers normally just curl up and, well, lose celebrity status. Personally I have never seen such cases, but I'm told the cause is an effluvium of affluence, and thus tends to target the governing classes.

Cheers, Mike.

The leader of our opposition

The leader of our opposition party called the prime minister a 'stupid woman', which is manifestly true.  This was considered bad. Has anybody else found instances of politicians being truthful?

Before we go down a rabbit hole I will say that 'term limits' is looking better and better Worldwide!! I would like to think that all politicians, okay MOST, start out trying to 'do the right thing' but somewhere along the line veer off into staying in politics as a career and lose their drive to 'do the right thing'.
