So far, no one is winning. Gary is trying the hardest but his guesses while truly excellent are too real to be right. Although real is probably not the right word. Wrong universe, maybe? Mike has the right spirit but he too is in the wrong universe. Although it's not exactly the wrong universe....
So a different solar system that has 54 stars in it, or 54 planets in it?
Hmmmm - I just noticed my RAC has gone healthier.
It can only mean one thing, people. I must have
left the network connection open. I don't usually
do that these days.
I'll be able to check that soon. In person :)
which is such a huge yay I doubt it would fit on
this page :) No. And then... I will of course,
also win this thread because I now know the
answer snagletooth is after :)
You might as well all start congratulating me now...
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
Maybe there's a solar system somewhere that has 54 weeks in a year : the usual 52 plus two spares for catching up with overtime & holidays. Or it could be a tax-free fortnite perhaps.
Then again some card games, with Jokers, use 54 cards to the pack. I forget which. Tarot ? You can generate astronomical odds with some card combinations.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Why? Do you pay when it's on 24/7 as opposed to turning it off sometimes?
Mine is the same cost per month whether I use it or not, and have unlimited bandwidth upto my speed of 400Mbps, I could have gotten 1GBbps but decided I didn't need that at home. I did have to change a setting in my router to get the higher speeds though, they have a standard packet size and if you add in the headers it goes above that packet size so I upped it a little bit and now the data all goes thru in one packet instead of 2.
I actually meant I made my post go away, more by accident than design is all the detail I'm prepared to admit to and in the kerfuffle, didn't manage to retrieve it.
something might be happening on the 23rd
Oh marvellous... another number to look in to... ;) although...
Well it is snagletooth's Einstein birthday on the 22nd...? mine was on the 6th but I'd been flat-batteried by then and couldn't make a big fuss about it like I most definitely probably would have done. There was going to be cake... and...

Ideas are not fixed, nor should they be; we live in model-dependent reality.
