Uggghhh.... It's morning, I'm up; been up for over an hour and can't get back to sleep... :-(
You posted that at 6:40 PST. At 6:40 CST, I was getting in the shower after being rather rudely awakened by my alarm at 5:24. The odd thing is that my bladder didn't wake me up earlier than that.

I sleep late, remember... I've posted on this at SETI a few times...
I don't want to bring my thread down again, but Seti user Monday just posted about the horrible wildfires in southern Australia. I hope Mike's okay. (I think he is; my impression is that he lives in a completely different area.)

I'm fine and thank you for your concerns. Mind you proper summer is yet to come. I got more than tad upset about the footage in South Australia & Western Australia. The terrors at facing an approaching wall of roiling flame close up are immense and the sense of loss is deep. FWIW please do give if you have the opportunity. In 2009 we were collectively and individually amazed by the help received from far flung places : that is not a trivial gift at any level.
Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Bushfires played a large part in terrorising my childhood, so I know what you mean Mike :( given as I was quite a bit shorter in those days and calculating from memory, they probably were not as bad as the ones you're experiencing down there. I'm so sorry :(
Glad you're okay though :)
And Phil too. Hello everyone :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
