I didn't know your birthday was coming up! When is it?
The 3rd.
Mine is the 23rd, did you also get alot of single presents that covered both Christmas and your birthday when growing up? I did but not from my immediate family, they always made it a point to make sure I got two presents.

About the same here.
BTW, you owe us all a round of drinks for double posting.
Annie: responding in reverse order -- sounds like fun, but my teeth aren't up to chewing gum; could be useful if it's HO scale (OO would be close enough); don't know what I'd do with them; that's cute.

Mikey, you have my sympathies... I can assure you that having a birthday three weeks after Christmas also nets you exactly the same single present. Being one of a set of twins then halves it again... I know cost played a part in that, but there also seemed to be this belief that giving us a present each might undermine the bond between us. Much better to give us one. That we "never fought over them" was because I was rather averse to having my sister sink her teeth into me when no one was looking. Yes people *slow blink* that's how good we were at sharing :)
We were great at sharing stuff like animals and creepy crawlies and stones and interesting sticks and whatnot that we found outside though :)
Oh... I'll keep looking then, David... still have time before Thursday...
*wave at Chris and everybody* :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

No problem, the next round is on me folks, just tell the bartender to send me the bill!!
I have two cousins who also have birthdays close to Christmas and they also got the same thing, one present covering the two events. I guess it is a Worldwide thing then...hmmm?!!! :-(
As a Boxing Day babe most stuff from Uncles and Aunts was "for both". But mum and dad always gave me two. Brother in March always got a bigger two. Creepy crawlies we passed on ....
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
My mother once told me that she and her sister always both got the same of any present. Her sister would quickly break hers and then want to borrow my mother's. She would always refuse on the grounds that it would get broken too, but she was always overruled by her mother. (She was usually right.)
