Oh very good :) and with the three of us at it, we'll have this little beauty solved in only 500,000 years... max!

*pause for party*

Reinslamoration - (pronounced reee in slam oh ray shin) *read Oxford English Dictionary definition*
The period following an event (involving two or more celestial objects colliding with one another*) where prior elliptical orbits become significantly enough perturbed to create disturbingly new elliptical orbits that may in themselves cause more reinslamoration events so further perturbing orbits.

*or as Mike put it: THIS IS ONE OF THOSE QUITE NEARBY BITS.

edit: Raalnotimersion the point where two elliptical orbits cross one another... looks like this middle bit here -> 8 <- on a number 8

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Just editing the definition: Adric's long lost formula for simultaneously getting himself back to E-space and Romana out.

Pardon my antipodal inquiry ..... you refer, do you not, to the matter of the pig and the young honorable member ? :-)

Cheers, Mike.

RealmAnisotrion - what

RealmAnisotrion - what happens when you have no P to make anisotropy and have to have R's and N's aligned just so - so are forced to improvise absolutely everywhere else.

RisenAlmOortian - god-like inhabitant of a region of space called the Oort cloud, who, having taken a vow of Alms - is duty bound to oversee the safe passage of elliptically orbiting bodies at the point they are most at risk of colliding (for example - at a Raalnotimersion). Failure to rise to the occasion has, historically, resulted in Reinslamoration (pronounced reee in slam oh ray shin) events and for RisenAlmOortians, instant demotion from god-like duties to RimOalatension sentinels.

RimOalatension - the manual effort of preventing the path of elliptical orbits from drooping chaotically in unforseen and untidy waves (resembling rollercoaster trajectories). Important to prevent planetary inhabitants from being catapulted into deep space in the middle of breakfast, or seminars, for example. Demoted RisenAlmOortians are tasked with this job and placed at periodic intervals along the orbital route.

@Mike: Yes... it's the traditional way suckling pigs are presented at high table in our most tippy toppy universities - on the members of future prime ministers and lords etc... and is in fact where the term: honourable member derives from.

Hey, didn't I get any points for my previous attempts?

Of course you do ! Spins Wheel Of Fortune ... spin .... spin .... spin .... I did give it quite a heave ..... spin .... spin .... bear with me ..... spin ... spin ..... slowing down now .... spin ..... clickety clacker .... whack ... spin whack, whack ..... whack. Whack. Ooooops. You win a roast pig. That's because your first name is David. You have nothing to blame but the British electorate. I can offer you one of two alternates though. Either 10 points here ( basically for piping up that you didn't get any points ) OR a night out with none other than David Cameron, the Prime Minister of Great Britain etc, etc for a splendid time reminiscing at a club of his choice. Your call. I may be fair but I will always be cruel. :-) :-)

Cheers, Mike.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww :) thank you! You're very kind. I will go away now-in-a-minute and remonstrate long and hard with my indisputable ignorance until enlightenment dawns *beam happy and very very hopeful smile ALL round Einstein*

Rude? :) Oh no. It's only rude if you refuse to eat the pork after it's been served...

What can I say ? DownUnda in recent years we have been getting terribly downhearted with the quality of our elected representatives. Right through to the top indeed. How low can you go sort of feeling. But all that worry and misery was for nought. Really. I mean that. All we had to do was pick up an English tabloid to cheer up our days.

Cheers, Mike.

Oh me Upover here too, although not so much... downhearted... as well... abject despair really. Apologies for our ooze being so noxious it rendered your ooze so fragrant compared, doesn't help I know. But I do extend them. And if it helps ... pointing your fingers at us all and laughing till your rear padded areas fall off is fine by me. I would too :) It's at times like these I find it handy to revert to my nation of birth rather than my nationality at it.

What is also disturbing is the Oxford English Dictionary not having a word for this "practise". It's been "practised" there (and abouts) for years - yet nothing tidily sums up the (at least) four elements involved. I might have to fix that... when I've finished playing with these letters... :)

edit: we might need to find a moderator for that though... and I might need a lawyer too... or at least prison visits :)

edit for David:

Quote:
You have nothing to blame but the British electorate.

He's right, and I offer my sincerest and most abjecterest of apologies to you too. Being one of the 75% who mysteriously swept him into power by not voting for him nor any of his mini-me's - I feel your pain, I really really do.

edit for Chris:
