Well, Einstein did an order

Well, Einstein did an order of magnitude estimate of the size of the spacetime 'strain' - agreeing with current calculations ~ 10^(-21) - and despaired of detection! This makes a wave detection an astounding technological feat. Now, if at the time he'd known about Foster's ...... :-)

While there's been ~ 60 downloads of the x-word ( go for the gif ), only 5 for the submission sheet .... perhaps people will have a go at it first before deciding if to enter.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Hmmm ... plenty of downloads

Hmmm ... plenty of downloads ( 100+ ) but no entrants!
What, no one likes even virtual Fosters?
Come now, don't be shy - it's not like I'm going to make anyone do a 'walk of shame' or anything! :-)
Right now any entry, even if it has no correct answers, will win! :-)

( closes midnite UTC 31 Jan 2008 )

Cheers, Mike.

NB. Note to self : maybe I should have offered real money?

Fair enough! I do hope the stagecoach is getting through & there's nay trouble a' mill then ... :-)

Your profile indicates thine abode is at Prince Edward Island ( 46 degrees N lat. ), so my deductive powers deduct that it's cold there at the moment. :-)

[ We ought arrange a thru-Earth's-core snow pipeline to here DownUnda ]

Good one Es!

I've sent in mine, got most of 'em I think, but there were a bunch of brain-rackers I couldn't get... I think there's a tv show called “Are you smarter than a 5th grader?, so maybe we can see who's not up to par with 6th form students :)) (Does “grade = “form ?)

Seriously, I enjoyed that Mike, whenever I've tried the crossword puzzles in the newspapers I can't even figure out one word, so it was a bit gratifying being able to at least figure out a bunch of the words :)

Actually I meant to get back to you ... was your submission sheet attached? There was no attachment to your e-mail.... :-(
