I've got a problem where BS is only running my WU's at a few percent of the CPU capacity while leaving the remaining 80-90% to system idle processes. If I install boinc 5.4.9 standard everything works as designed, but the moment I put the BS .5d boincmgr app in place the failure returns. BS had been working fine for a month or two before this.

On the tab "Settings", there is a line "CPU limit". This line should be empty, but in your case maybe contain 20. Set the value to 100 and click in any other line, then the field should be empty and your CPU should run at 100%.

You should not use calibration with non-optimized apps and BS should not calibrate when gain is negative ;-)

This was on Windows, cpu Pentium 4
I am believing that the cause was that BoincStudio uses zlib.dll
while standard boinc 5.4.9 uzes zlib1.dll -:(
and when Installing over ssh I copied only BS boinc.exe and boinc.dll -:(
The zlib1.dll was already there (from standard boinc 5.4.9 windows) MSI install
Now, I added via ssh/sftp BS zlib.dll too
*Lets see if this error occurs again
Other than this error, I found on logfile, all is working well.
btw: this was only a msg on log ... no ill effects at all -:)

In regards to one of the uFluids workunits I'm crunching...
BM shows 27h:53m completed at 0.00% progress.
BS shows 3h:53m completed at 64.55% progress.
I'm not sure why the progress percentage is different but it does show that BOINC Studio resets the completed time after 24 hours.
