Hang on Rod!...I hope this hurricane doesn't do to your area what hurricane Gustav did to Ohio.

We've been watching the hurricane on the news. :(

The weather here is still remarkably desert like. What with it being a desert. Yesterday we did the Strip and I lost $10 on the slots then went to a really strange shopping mall and bought a handbag.

Today we are off to the Grand Canyon. If I get some good pics I will post them.

Even if the pictures are bad you should post them.

Kyle should make landfall at Digby Neck Nova Scotia within the hour as Cat 1 Hurricane.. It is slow moving and it will loose some of it punch as it passes over Nova Scotia up the Bay of Fundy over the Northumberland Strait to the Island. At 10:00PM we are expecting sustained winds of 60 km/hr with gusts up to 110 km/hr Rain 70mm to 100mm.. If this was the winter it would not be too bad but the trees are full of leaves and with the wind they act like sails Five years ago Hurricane Juan knocked down a tremendous amount trees.. I hope that weaned out the weaker ones and we are not in for repeat.. This storm is a funny shape there seems to a whole quadrant with little or no rain just wind

Plenty close enough to get some big winds...I hope it's no problem for you when it gets up your way.
