I have my surgery date for

I have my surgery date for some elective surgery.  March 5.  Figures I have 2 doctors appointment that week that must be rescheduled.  Surgery is a breeze (as much as surgery can be) it's the 2 weeks before and after that suck.

They collaborate. Appointments. One moment everything is calmly going to plan, and the next, nothing is for awhile.

Surgery is a breeze (as much as surgery can be)

The chatter just beforehand helps, yes...

;)

...it's the 2 weeks before and after that suck.

  :(

I can definitely empathise with that sucky thing :\ I had an appointment brought forward by six days and it's left me consternated all over the place :/ I wasn't particularly not before that - which probably hasn't helped - but it's a lot worse now. It'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine, I know :) Things do that sort of thing. As you know. I hope it flies by for you :) It'd help to know if we're allowed to make you laugh though

*lugubrious blink*

...for insurance purposes...

;)

*big hugs to everyone who needs one*

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

If they are getting rid of

If they are getting rid of something I hope it comes off easy,  if they are putting something on I hope it fits well, and if they are adjusting the nuts and bolts I hope that they turn easy.

Good luck and no pain.  (we don't permit pain and we require luck)

WOO HOO!!! As you know the 2 weeks will fly by once you get past the first 3 or 4 days, then it's easy peasy until your surgery and post-op will also be easy peasy up until the last few days. Then it becomes harder as the anticipation of the next phase gets ohhh sooo much closer!!! But what happens during those 4 weeks is AMAZING and well worth any rough patches you go thru!!!! Been there done that and even have the NEW t-shirts to prove it!!

Annie I am back to winning again, did you ever figure out what's for dinner? When I lived in Scotland fish and chips was my old standby, even after being there for a year it was still delicious!!

I've never eaten year old fish and chips but I know the further away I am from London, the even better it tastes, yes :) so I expect that applies to the year old stuff too ...

;)

It turned into grilled sausages and mash and grilled vegetables, but not on my other half's - where it was rice pudding (which he's not supposed to have but did because he's feeling really poorly from the cold I gave him after he came out of hospital and really only wanted that. I wasn't anywhere nearly as badly affected. My first twelve hours were spent thinking someone had shoved pepper right up my nose to make it run and want to sneeze, but only to: ah ah aaaaaaaah-oh level) during which, part of the time I could breathe out through my left ear :) but not in, as I discovered later in the day. Then there was about six hours of spread-out sneezing - and I was better.

And now... I have won. Yay!!! :)

Thanks for the well wishes

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.  It is indeed taking something out.  But it's for the best.

*hugs Annie*

Colds are miserable.  I hope everyone in the house is on the mend.

Ah, the old rubric : better

Ah, the old rubric : better out than in ! :-)

That's summarises most of surgery actually.

And yes, we do stuff peppers up patient's noses when they're under anaesthetic. For the sheer love of it ! C'mon you'd do the same if you knew you would get away with it. Just don't be scheduled on a Carrot Thursday ..... :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I wonder if they charge extra

I wonder if they charge extra for all that 'stuffing' stuff? I do eat peppers and carrots, even stuffed ones but stuffing them into places is not my idea of fun.

It's now my turn to be winning!!
