But anyway... no offense to anyone who posted so far, but last night I literally zonked out while reading this thread. I realized I wasn't even reading a complete sentence without my eyes closing, so with one last effort I closed the laptop and put it on the floor, put the TV on sleep timer, and then fell asleep without even taking my glasses off.
Medical update: Monday afternoon, I was visiting the euphemism (stand up version) and right in the middle of my activity a small black thing shot out. Shortly thereafter, the pain I'd been feeling ceased.
Gotta go or be late for work.

Ooh, a decision. The first one... no, no the second. Actually, I might have to just listen and not watch. I have been told I'm an anomaly because I find what'shisface... Sean Connery, a bit annoying. It's not his fault. I had my brain scrambled by seeing the 007 films out of sequence, so to me James Bond was Roger Moore.
Roger Moore = Great !
Sean Connery = Great !
Everyone after that .... So So ...
Danial Craig ? are you kidding me ... that little wuss doesn't
even wear a Rolex ... he is in no way, shape or form qualified to be Bond !
Bill
PS: Patrick McGoohan would have made an excellent Bond !
Last night's game was brutal to watch, but I'm not giving up on the Cubs just yet.

Roger was the funniest. Also my first.
Sean is overrated. He's like William Shatner would have been if he'd played Bond.
Whatsizname, the one timer, I only saw it once, too long ago to comment (which is probably a comment in itself).
Dalton is way underrated. The Living Daylights is my single favorite Bond film. (But Licence to Kill sucked.)
Pierce brought back some humor (which the producers had deliberately written out of Dalton) and also added some intelligence and suaveness. He had good writers.
Craig, well, I haven't even seen the last couple. It's probably more the producers' fault than his, though.
I've never seen the original Casino Royale.
[edit!]
For those who like Bond and get H&I, DS9: Our Man Bashir is on tonight, in an hour from now. It got Paramount a nasty letter from the lawyers at MGM.

Just finished one hour and twenty minutes in the dentist's chair. My left face is all wobble-flobble-gobble and so is the brain .... they had the sucker, the blower, the one that whines, the one that clunks, the one that glows blue and smells funny, the band, the injections to the whoose-its, cotton rolls, fluoride flavors, the clamp, the trampoline in the mouth, I had the hypochlorite highs & the dribbling lows, beeps and whirs ..... what a ride ! Can I do that again .... NOT .....
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Cheers, Mike.
{ Seriously, my dentist a monster and when I look up into the white light ( aarrgggh the light, the light ..... ) he looks purple ..... I'm a sick man. Time for Wally The Whisky then. There you go, into the tumbler. Neat. }

I don't get the Novocaine shots as they don't seem to take effect until I'm on the way home anyway, but the pain for me is only temporary. There a few times when I grip the arms of the chair a bit tighter when they actually touch the nerve, but usually they are grinding away at tooth stuff and it has no nerves in that part. My Dentist DOES insist I get the shots when she does root canals though, I just go in about 45 minutes early and get the shots and then hang out waiting for them to take effect. When I had 1 wisdom tooth removed, I still have the other 3, they used the gas and there was no pain at all for that, but my regular dentist can't do that.
My basement dropped into the upper 80's yesterday...WOO HOO!!! No I didn't stop some of the pc's or anything the wind just started blowing a bit harder and it got cooler outside too.
Yes. I noticed that well within my edit window, but thought I'd leave it for you :) You're welcome!

I will mention that to my other half, Bill. I expect he'll agree :) He's a big fan of Patrick Mcgoohan.
@medical stuff
I'm glad you shot it out, David :)
Of course... it's because of some poor person in pain like you have been experiencing, that there's a very real chance my other half might decide to accommodate the hospital's chronic shortage of beds over the weekend and get himself discharged. This will be very very nice, except... it is actually very very very scary.
Yes!
You see... I spent part of Wednesday learning how to give injections into stomachs!
I did that because they put someone who needs to do quite a lot of what David had to do, in the bed next to my other half. Well hopefully not directly into the bed, but anyway... they did that four days, and nights ago, and they haven't quite got his pain medication quite right, poor thing :/
Why it's scary is that a few hours before I was "trained" ... I was in my GP's surgery for me, and not once did my name mean anything to me, all four times it was called. No *blink frankly* It only sounded a bit familiar when the doctor walked right up to me and stood over me and said it again.
Then, as I said up there, a few hours later I was qualified!
Would you trust me with a needle anywhere near your stomach, Mike? Either under those circumstances, or any others that might pop into your head? Cos I certainly don't :/
*surreptitiously slide eyes around stomachs*
If I could just practise a bit more ...
edit: I hope you're over your dentist ordeal now :)
I'm not sure where Dr Bacon got a picture of my dentist from, but drilling's not all he does. He also injects amalgam into bottom lips people! Yes, a most diverting turn of events that was :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
