For at least the last week the servers have been trying to download 2, ?new/updated progams?, to both of my computers. I have yet to recived a file that passes it's MD5 checks. I've included the latest 2 failures in this message.

I have copies of these files that were downloaded in AUG '06, but for some reason I'm trying to download the same files again. The files are the same size but with the current download date.
I've currently stopped 'get new tasks' to prevent these downloads until I get some kind of warm fuzzy as to what is going on.
This listing does not show the above 'xxx.pdb' errors as I aborted the download before it completed. With dial-up at approx. 50Kb a complete set of work files takes about an hour.

They aren't the same files. The ones that EAH now downloads are the new SR5I files, the ones you have already are SR51.
Error -120 is a problem with the RSA signature on the file. An MD5 error is error -119, but that's semantics. ;-)
You usually get this problem when the public key is corrupted. Have you tried to reset the project? That should fix the key issue.

Okay, I tried the 'reset' and the next .exe and .pdb downloads also failed. Next, I detached from and reattached to the project. Hit the 'update' a couple of times, both times recieved 'Scheduler request succeeded', but no downloads happened. Disconnected from the network connection then reconnected, then did 'update' again still no work, so I've gone back to 'no work requested'. Will try to get work at a later time.
P.S. "I" and "1". You would think that 'they' would have upped the version number to preclude this easy visual mistake.

Checking your results, it shows this machine was crunching results as normal. So did something change on that machine? Windows update perhaps? Did its firewall get reset, XP's firewall kicked in again? Check those things, please.
Did you put this machine on No New Work, perhaps? Check in Boinc Manager, Projects, see what the status of Einstein is.

The machine with CS.xml file 2 has errors -114 (giving up on download) and -120 (RSA encryption key failed). Yet both the public key and the signature key look correct.

It's something that David or Bruce will have to look into, but both of them aren't available this week. Bernd isn't available for individual help this week either.
So for now, please put Einstein on No New Tasks/Suspend or detach from it.
Then take the thread up next week and we'll see if we can get one of the admins to delve deeper.
The problem does seem to be server side. Something to do with the downloads and (lack of) check of MD5/RSA sums to check the downloads. Nothing you or I can do from our point of view to fix that.

Okay, I will bring the number 1 online 1 Feb too late for me today. Will monitor this thread.
No changes to OS or firewalls. The ony program that has been updated is my virus scanner ,AVG, but I was able to download the S5R1 files while the S5RI files would fail. So I doubt that it is the virus scanner.

I was finally able to download an S5RI to my number 1 machine will attempt another download to my number 2 later today(Sunday).
Well I tried and it failed again. I've included the latest messages. I attempted to dowmload to my #2 yesterday and recieved the same messages.
I let every file download and every file except the "grid" file failed in some way.

Does this mean than your No. 1 machine is now working but your No. 2 still has the problem? If you do get just one machine working, you can actually transfer the files you need (not data or results files) from the working machine to the non-working machine locally without having to re-download them from the project. This includes not only the executables (.exe, .pdb) but also any sun, earth, config, etc, standard files giving the signature error.
