A simple way to make an Android phone "dumber" is Turn off most of your notifications. Move the Apps you use most frequently to the main screen. Move any apps you use infrequently to the second or third screen. Turning off most notifications but leaving the Phone Ring on allows you to ignore a lot of potential interruptions. If you want, you can delete most of your application icons and access those applications through the global flip up list. You still need to keep the WWW quick links on the 2nd screen since they are not actual applications. The major benefit is you are not buying a new phone or installing a new application you are paying for to get this benefit. Respectfully,

I've had my phone set up in almost exactly this way for quite some time now. Would recommend it to minimize distractions and clutter.
