I would reccomend upgrading

Message 4895 in response to message 4893

I would reccomend upgrading to BOINC 4.37. Versions 4.35 and 4.36 were giving me problems, but 4.37 seems to be resolving many of them.

Thanks. I may if I can't get this problem worked out.

Something is wrong somewhere.

Message 4896 in response to message 4891

Something is wrong somewhere. All of these work units, except the one due on the eleventh, have been uploaded from my machine. I have a dial up connection and watched each upload and download as it occured. I have also tried to update using the instuctions at the begining of this thread. Would restarting my computer do anything useful?

Did you had a look in the tab "Messages" to see what happens when you try to do an "update". This tab can give you crucial information about what is going on when trying to contact the server.

First, The information I gave you in my last message was incorect. The work unit due on the 11th was the only one that had not started yet. The units for the 9th and 10th were still working. I uploaded the one for the 9th when I started this session.

The 'Messages' tab is how I watch while I am allowing BOINC network access. I received my last download at 3:14 PM on 3 May. I have gone back and checked. There are no indications that anything is wrong. My computer tells me I am connected to all four of the projects I am involved in.

Just an update. I restarted my computer and everything seems to be working. Thanks for your attention.

I just started einstein and

I just started einstein and boic. I run linux. I did most of my past Seti work using linux. My system completed one unit today and downloaded and began crunching another unit, however it has repeatedly today gotten errors trying to upload the completed unit. It says "ERROR: file upload returned -127 "
It then backs off for a specified time.
Does anyone else out there use Direcway satellite as their ISP?
I am wondering if its my ISP thats the reason it can't upload the
completed unit?
Thanks
