Here is a S5GCE Application

Here is a S5GCE Application that doesn't crash immediately on a G3 running 10.3.9. The build is a couple of hacks, it still doesn't work fully automatic, and the whole App is built with gcc-3.3 and G3-compatible (no AltiVec support). Don't ask about efficiency, but it's at least something that will keep the old machines running. You can either download it manually and run it on anonymous platform, or wait a bit longer until I will publish it as official App.

Done. Again, I haven't seen it complete a single task yet.

Thanks. It appears my G4 Macs got one each today. Too bad about the lack of AltiVec support. (I don’t have any G3s.)

Good question. Is the current PPC app not a "switching" app with executables for non-altivec and altivec like the previous one for S5R6?

Got the App built (http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/download/einstein_S5GC1_7.02_powerpc-apple-darwin) but no way to test it - our poor old G3 broke down.

Publishing will take a bit as it has to propagate to the download mirrors first.

Again, no warranties at all.
