We do have the first native app version for Apple Silicon (M1) available. It is a FGRP5 app. So with a new M1 Mac and the latest "universal" BOINC Client you should get native work for your machine. Note that this build is pretty hackish, so far I don't even know whether it runs on any other machine than it was built on. So far the app completed a handful of tasks, all pending validation. That's also something I awaiting eagerly, whether the results of this app really validate. Oh, and yes, this is a "Beta" App, so make sure in your preferences that you want to receive "Beta test work".

Awesome news!  My M1 Mac min

Awesome news!  My M1 Mac mini is running 8 tasks now.  FWIW, it seems to be running a wuprop task properly too.

Update:  The M1 took 3 hours and 53 minutes per task, running 8 at a time.

For comparison, I started 8 tasks on my iMac with a i7-4790K (4c/8t), and they are still running.  It looks like those will take about 12 hours.

FWIW 150 valid tasks from

FWIW 150 valid tasks from this app so far, no invalid, no validate error. Invalids, however, require more time because a third task needs to be generated and finished. But a good sign so far.

My M1 is crunching over on PG until the end of the February challenge.  Once that is over, I'll bring it back.

I'm very pleased.   I upgraded the OS to Big Sur 11.2.2 yesterday afternoon.  No problems.  As soon as the update was finished Einstein@home took off again without a hitch.
