In any case a trip to the pub, could be in order.
Congratulations Mike. I heard
Congratulations Mike. I heard that Mikey's headed down that way for a bit.
WINNING!!!

I thought a candle might be nice. You know, to
celebrate your win, Mike. I have one in my bag
I think... somewhere. Hold on ...
[rummage] Of course the fact that the winning
answer was vegan came as a nasty shock... I
mean, being as I am one now I really should
have got that. But not to worry ... it's
possible to recover from shock. At least, that's
what I've been told anyway...[/rummage]
[extraction]I was right! There is one!

I just need to light it now, and...where is
betreger when you need him...? and then everything
will look so nice!
Happy weekend everyone :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
Annie, I hope it is scented
Annie, I hope it is scented enough to cover up burning hair smell.
I gather it smells a bit...
I gather it smells a bit... sweet, although I'm
not sure how long for or exactly what they
mean by sweet to be honest.
It would be good if it did though. I keep
picking up a whiff and thinking I'm missing a
new party.
But I'm not, so it's only a matter of time before
I start thinking I'm not, and am :/
As for Mikey, if there's about to be a grand
prix in Australialand - even Mike with all his
connections in the industry might not be able
to verify that he's there, although...
*pause*
He went under cover. I distinctly remember him
saying it was the only way he would go.
*frank blink*
or it was something like that anyway.
None of us even thought to ask... why...? ;)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

YES there will a Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia next weekend and YES I will be there too!! The race occurs on the 17th of March and YES I am close now!! I just flew from Auckland, NZ to Sydney, Australia this morning, hard to keep track of days an night at this point as it's A LONG WAY since Tuesday morning when I left home to get here. Yesterday we flew from Hawaii to New Zealand and while it was Thursday when I left Hawaii I got into New Zealand on Saturday morning and to bed at 1:30am for a 9am flight this morning to Sydney, I got about 3 hours of sleep last night and 8 more so far in my hotel room in Sydney today. I will be back in it shortly!! I have no idea right now where Friday went and my FitBit is VERY confused!! I walked 201 steps on Thursday and Friday, yet must have walked MILES thru the airport to get from one gate to the next one, not counting Customs and all the other places n the airport along my route.
I am here because we had some 'use or lose' airline miles that had to be used up and here was the furthest I could go on them and still be in First Class all the way. The trip was booked in June last year and American Airlines 'forgot' to tell me that one of the legs of my flight was cancelled, so Monday night after 5 hours of the phone of everyone blaming someone else I was told 'you are on the plane in First/Business Class', I show up at the airport and they said not only don't you have a seat we cancelled that flight in July last year, we don't fly that day at all anymore!! 5 hours wasted as American rebooked me back on the same non existent flight they KNEW didn't exist!! Hawaiian Airlines did find me a seat in 'Comfort Class' but it was against a bulkhead meaning the seat reclined about 3 inches max!! I had lots of leg room but sitting up for 9 hours is not fun and then I arrived in New Zealand for 3 hours of sleep!!
When I get back home again American Airlines and I will be having a long chat as to what they will offer me in return or whether I tell them other miles cards are better!! I put a lot of things on my miles and points cards just for trips like this, free flights, free hotels etc etc etc makes this a small cost 'out of pocket' trip.
The rumours must be true then
The rumours must be true then *crane neck over
equator* that Australia is quite far away... I'm
glad you got there, Mikey. The journey sounds
the kind of fraught I wouldn't - well not in my
right mind anyway. And not without having to be
carefully approached on the luggage carousel
and gently sedated out of my basket.
Have a lovely time both of you :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Oh we have have had issues but will resolve 99% of them after the trip is over by getting some points or credits back once they can't mess up our trip anymore. Yesterday we got to Melbourne and found TWO rooms waiting for us, somehow they had failed to cancel one so we changed plans and stayed in the original one and cancelled both the 2nd room a 2nd reservation in a hotel closer to the airport that would have meant packing up and moving to it for a night, everything came out okay and they have already refunded all the points and credits.
BTW AnnieT please check your PM's TL04 is saying your phone is acting funny and has been trying to tell you.

I might change the title of this thread to : "The Last Person To Get To Australia"
Clearly some sort of karma has run over your dogma on this trip. :-)
Cheers, Mike.
