My crunchers will all be off line for a few days. No set date but the power company is coming to remove a tree in my back yard and will have to shut off the power to do it. Since I travel I need to have everything shut down in case they show up while I'm gone. Back in a few days.

I think you have the RAC to spare.
See you when you get back.

Well, I only got to dispatch a little bit. The rules allow for anyone line qualified to dispatch when there are a maximum of two trains moving on the main. As it happened, we had the L train I was conducting, the North Shore train, and 415 doing Jefferson shuttles, plus 3142 on the car line (until they put it away early due to wire/pole problems). I was allowed to dispatch my own train out of the yard and 3142 out after me, and then my train out for the first mainline trip, but then the official dispatcher took the railroad back and kept it for the rest of the day (he did let me give my own orders a couple more times). The solution he chose for the problem of two trains that can't pass each other at the station was to send both out, one 15 minutes after the other, so they could meet at Johnson Siding. The last one back would be the next one out. I had thought of that too, but rejected it as a waste of electricity.
[edit2]
The signal system acted a little wonky in the eastern couple of miles. Four Mile kept telegraphing between clear and stop, causing the signal ahead of it to also telegraph between clear and approach. It settled down as we got close, though.
[/edit2]
I also did a couple of Jefferson shuttles and one mainline trip with him. He gave advice on speed going through wire frogs, but his only other comment was to polish my car talk, so I guess my operation was good. I mentioned over dinner later that after listening to other feedback, I had decided that I won't run the car for all it's worth, I will run it as fast as feels good. I don't want to throw the passengers back and forth in spots where the track is a bit rough.
We're done for the season now, except for Happy Holiday Railway in December, which I think I'll skip this year. I look forward to learning this stuff better in the spring.

I'm allowed to cook for everyone again :( Think my mum has been living on chocolate and biscuits and my son on crisps and salad. Why not again tonight!?
Back in a bit :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

My own Nutritionist weighed me at EVERY monthly meeting and I had to write a food log of everything I ate. Simple food substitutions have helped me lose 50 lbs since January!! I am working hard NOT to find them again!! She said English Muffin instead of a biscuit, love both so no problems there. She said wrap instead of 2 pieces of bread, again no problems. She then said MORE veggies than carbs for dinner, THAT was a problem but I am working on it. She also said thin crust pizza with veggies and SOME meats is also better than the 'hand tossed thick crust all the meats' kind too, YES I CAN have pizza too, just NOT every week though!!!

Here is something you might like: Preheat your oven (I use an easy-bake counter top oven) to 450 (or its pizza setting). Place a flour tortilla on a nonstick pizza pan and put it in to crisp it (never take your eyes of of it). It will begin to blister. Remove, ladle pizza sauce, a layer of cheese, peperoni (if allowed) and return it to the oven. Watch until done. I like thin crust so this fits for me although there is nothing better then a true Italian pizza dough.
