Yes I took a bunch off in October to cut the electric bill but I'm still running 18 devices which includes 5 Arm devices, I got a new one for Christmas, and 3 laptops.
That was one of the two reasons I started cutting back and selling hardware. If I don't have it, I can't run it. If I don't run it, my "average" plan will (eventually) drop to what I am now drawing. A drop to maybe 1/4 of what I am now paying.

I certainly get that. Being an Old Fart means I don't have that many Farts left ;)

I have not sold any hardware so far and I'm not sure I can sell very much of it anyway, I could sell my AMD gpu's that I'm not using at the moment but some of them are decent enough to run gpu tasks at most projects though they can't compete with the 30?? series gpu's and above for RAC.
This is an Opinion piece. He speculates the possibility of Arm/Nvidia systems for $1,000 because of Chromebook vendors. It is not clear to me if he is assuming Blackwell GPU's. But I could see an ARM Chromebook with a discreet consumer Blackwell GPU rtx 5000 series.
What caught my attention was the $1,000 price.
