I have some WU which have been failing and going to retry for over an hour. Ordinarily I wouldn't care, but, in about an hour, when BOINC finally drains the swamp on that machine, it is being wiped and loaded for a new project. I would like to get these uploaded.

Thanks,

Are the upload servers having problems again?

Einstein has now been trying to upload for more than a day. Other projects uploading completed WU just fine, but Einstein constantly going into retry mode.

According to the News section they were doing database work on the 27th, maybe it affected you. Mine are doing up and downloads just fine.

I'm getting problems

I'm getting problems uploading atm... I just hope it won't effect the standings in the team challenge which was held over at BOINCstats

http://boincstats.com/en/stats/challenge/team/chat/657

There's just under 8 hours for tasks to be validated, before they won't count for the team challenge here, for any of the crunchers/teams involved in this.

As to work on the database server on the 27th, I at least hadn't noticed this prior to today (the 30th), which is about 3 days latter. But one task in particular, at least is giving a:

Make that 2 tasks having this problem now...

All three of my main hosts

All three of my main hosts have failed in their most recent upload attempts.

The typical error syndrome in my case looks like:

[pre]3051 Einstein@Home 3/30/2015 7:48:20 AM Started upload of PM0012_027A1_70_1_0
3052 Einstein@Home 3/30/2015 7:48:20 AM Started upload of PM0012_027A1_70_1_1
3053 Einstein@Home 3/30/2015 7:48:22 AM Temporarily failed upload of PM0012_027A1_70_1_0: transient HTTP error

3057 3/30/2015 7:48:25 AM Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
3058 3/30/2015 7:48:27 AM Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
[/pre]
As of this writing, the repeating upload problem here looks about three hours old. The file transfer queue shows some at a stated 100% of transfer complete, some with 0.00, none with anything between. Multi-hour project backoffs are currently displayed.

In case global network issues play a part, my hosts are served by a Comcast cable connection in the western United States--Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Reporting and download still seem to work.

Noting also an oddity in BOINC’s Transfer pane—all show 100% progress, but more bytes uploaded than are apparently in the files. Four tasks involved: 351/183 bytes, 0:0:12; 365/197 bytes, 0:02:11; 368/200 bytes, 0:0:03; 369/201 bytes, 0:0:03.

Me too. Several hours hanging

Me too. Several hours hanging on upload. "Project file upload handler is missing"

What does "Upload: pending(project backoff: 03:30:00)" mean?

That it's not going to waste any more of your bandwidth for another three and a half hours. Since the staff are unlikely to attend the lab for another seven hours at least, that sounds like a good idea.
