Regards jon,

Try exiting Boinc altogether and then restarting it, NOT the whole pc just Boinc, and see if that works.

As for a "multicore server" yes it can work but most are NOT just plug in and play that you buy from there. I have two and had to load Windows manually on the two that I have bought there. Also they are NOT the fastest pc's, they do crunch thru the workunits, I have mine at other projects right now, but they get their credits thru sheer numbers of cpu cores, not high speed. I bought two dual cpu 16 thread Xeon machines, they do work just fine on Win7, after upgrading the memory in each to 16gb, but I have not tried them on Win10. In short yes it can work, but don't expect a plug and play machine, nor the fastest pc either.
