there are no beta apps ATM, so I guess you can delete it.
Stop BOINC beforehand.

Been discussed many times in the Beta app threads, which is where you would have picked up the app_info in the first place. If you're going to run Beta, you should keep an eye on those threads for advice and any issues which may arise (or where you might be able to contribute an observation of your own, which after all is what Beta testing is all about, LOL!).
Wait until your last allocated task has finished, and report it. Then delete the app_info file, reset the project, and restart BOINC.
