work stuck previous work comes up computer error

I see lots of errors 0xc0000005 and one xc0000090

The latter is a STATUS-FLOAT-INVALID-OPERATION, which could be just a fluke, or signal a problem with your CPU. The 0xc0000005's could be failing hardware, corrupt drivers or anything in between.

So it's difficult to diagnose, but I would start off with reinstalling the motherboard chipset drivers, video card drivers, DirectX, etc.

If you're running with the screen saver on, try to run without it, or set Windows to use one of its own (non 3D) screen savers instead. See how that goes.

Task 3/5/2008 7:09:33

Task 3/5/2008 7:09:33 AM|Einstein@Home|Resuming task h1_0878.20_S5R3__445_S5R3b_1 using einstein_S5R3 version 426

Has been stuck at 87.52% complete for about 4 hours, "running" but making ZERO progress. Task manager shows that my system is 95+% idle.
Yet this task SAYS it's in running status. Further, BOINC seems to think that it is running because it preempts tasks from other projects.

background:
I had 3 Einstein tasks running. Two finished and could not upload (DSL was disconnected).

Now, no matter if I 'suspend' and then resume this task, it stays stuck at 23:59:40 CPU time.

WILL I HAVE TO ABORT IT?

According to your computer list you haven't had work since January 25 2008. So either you have two accounts, or this task has been several weeks over the deadline.

Do you have any messages saying that since it is so many days over the deadline that you should consider aborting it? Or do you have a different computer than the one in the list there?

Please tell us either the TaskID or the WorkunitID for this task (or even the HostID for the computer that is crunching this task).

No. Please just stop BOINC and restart it. This should simply restart the task from the last saved checkpoint and it should continue normally.

Cheers,
Gary.
