Mutiny is against the law. Inacceptable. Mutineers are traitors, ... 'new government'?... unimaginable. On principle, that is. The European perspective on Independence movements.  ;-)

I agree with that

the word was 'boomers' so I

the word was 'boomers' so I posted 'submaries'...when I was in the USNavy MANY years ago now I was stationed in Holy Loch, Scotland for a while and we brought submarines, both fast attack and boomers, into our dry dock. We fixed what was wrong, gave them a nice new coat of paint, do you have ANY idea how LONG it takes to HAND roll paint onto a submarine? And you don't EVEN want to know how many coats it took if you had to pressure wash, we called it water blasting at 10K psi, the thing down to bare metal!!

I wrote Percheron after the word horse, as a f/f many years ago we had a call for a trailer on fire so we went and it turns out one of the wheel bearings was overheated and smoking but not on fire. The trailer had 2 horses in it so we got them out, I'm 6 feet tall and the shoulder of the horse was up to my eyeballs!!! Turns out they were Percheron horses that were used for plowing and the guy was taking it home after seeing a vet. We wanted to say hi to the horses but the guy told us NO because they were not friendly and would probably bite us, we stayed a safe distance away once they were out of the trailer. We barely sprayed any water on the bearings because it could cause them to shatter so it took about half an hour of us mostly watching them cool down on their own, then the guy put the horses back in the trailer and off he went and we went back to the fire station.

Ha, speaking of

Ha, speaking of racing...

steer > under > slip

Slip angle relates to under steering in car mechanics.

But, a silk under slip is an entirely different thing.

Ideas are not fixed, nor should they be; we live in model-dependent reality.

So are you a racer or a watcher of it? I've watched F1 for YEARS now, I used to love the McLaren and Ferrari battles many years ago.

No, not really.  But years ago I picked up "Sports Car and Competition Driving" by Paul Frere, 1966 edition, at a book sale. A fascinating read on theory and practice. Chapter 4 is "From Slipping to Sliding", where I first learned of slip angle, understeer, oversteer, neutral-steer, yaw angle, and drifting.
