BOINC is producing this message whenever i try to update the project:

"Einstein@Home|Note: not requesting new work or reporting results."

It isn't set to 'won't get new work', so how can I make it?

Wont request new work.

If you have other projects attached to that computer it most likely gave E@H more than it's fair share recently and is working on the other projects to catch up.

Just to expand on what John

Just to expand on what John said: When you set your "resource shares" for multiple projects, ONE of the ways BOINC enforces that share is by "alternating which one gets worked on". That is what everyone seemingly expects, so that's fine. However, there are times when this isn't "enough", and one project gets a bit ahead of the others, either due to rushing to meet a deadline, or a project is "out of work" for a while, or whatever. When this happens, rather than having work for the project that's ahead (in this case Einstein) sitting on the computer but not being worked on (and therefore wasting time between downloading and the deadline) the Manager is smart enough to just not GET any more work for that project for a while.

If you expect the resource shares to be correct "up to the minute", this will confuse you. If you realize that the resource shares are kept correct "over the long term", then it makes sense. The Wiki goes into great detail on how it all works (look for "Long Term Debt") but as John said, the short answer is just "don't worry about it". The message "not requesting new work" is telling you that everything is fine, no problems, just that it doesn't want any Einstein at the moment.
