Hi all,

I'm a long boinc user, maybe 13-14 old, since before GPU applications appeared.

When GPU applications appeared, I was astonished with the speed, and these days I was surprised some GPU applications run even when graphics is on.  But I found an exception; "Gamma-ray pulsar binary search #1 on GPUs v1.20 () windows_x86_64" is it.  It sits silent when the graphics is working like old GPU applications.

What makes this difference?  I know C/C++ programming, but not OpenCL/Cuda programmings.

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked on your

Have you checked on your account page -> Preferences -> Computing -> Advanced for the setting that says, "Suspend GPU computing when computer is in use"?

Is that setting perhaps set to 'Yes'.  If so try changing it to 'No' and make sure to save the change.

I use Linux and not Windows and I don't have any problem using the graphics display while multiple tasks (2 or 3) are in progress on the GPU.  I can't imagine it would be different for Windows.

Cheers,
Gary.

Thanks Gary,

That's it.  I forgot to check preference.  Now it works while graphics is on.
