After having watched my results panel for a couple of weeks, I noticed that for many pending results zero points were granted, although it took more than 20 h calculating each.
How comes that?

Why do I have so many granted credits of zero?
)
While a result is pending, no credit is given. You must wait until another result, from a different computer, arrives and agrees with your result. Then you will get credit.

Okay that's what I read in the FAQ section, but when the pending status was over I received 0 credit!
How does that explain?

ARE YOU TURNING THE WORK IN

ARE YOU TURNING THE WORK IN COMPLETED AND ON TIME ? I DID 2 44 HR. PROJECTS, TURNED THEM IN 6 HRS. LATE AND RECEIVED "0" CREDITS. KIND OF A WASTE OF ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY HRS. MORAL: MAKE SURE THE WORK IS IN BEFORE THE DUE DATE. SORRY YOU DID NOT GET THE CREDIT YOU DESERVED. IM SURE A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD SAY FUNK THIS ! BUT, IT IS A GREAT CAUSE... KEEP AT IT,YOU LEARN ALONG THE WAY.

This can happen because of the so called "cross-platform validation problem". Sometimes, host of different platforms (e.g. Windows and Linux) return slightly different results because of compiler and math-library differences. Then (at least) one additional host has to crunch the task, until two submitted results are sufficiently similar for the validator to let them pass. The other host(s) receive 0 credit :-(.
The project team is busy fixing this problem, hopefully within the current week.
