My computer ID is 710938 & the result ID are 39056854 & 38458729, but the success results granted only 19.73 credits respectively, comparing with my other computer the granted credit was 178.59. PLease tell me why.

Short running result. The long running results get more credit, the one with the lower credit must've taken a lot less time. With your computers hidden, that's difficult for us to check.

I have two computers. I

I have two computers. I would gladly tweak any settings on the iMac to make it earn and run more. It runs MUCH LONGER tasks than the Pentium 4 320mhz. Can you tell me what settings i might change to get it to take more ram (if needed) and get more DONE? Lennox Morey

You don't need to change anything. The iMac downloaded a Work Unit with long result slices. Your P4 (320MHz huh? ;)) downloaded a Work Unit with short result slices.

Just let both of them run. In due course they both end their WU and get new ones. Then it's possible your P4 runs a long WU and your iMac a short one.

It says it’s a dual 3.4-GHz (or maybe just HT?), and it takes three-quarters of an hour to crunch short WUs. (His iMac is crunching longs in about 27 h, while earning only nine times as much credit apiece, and is therefore one-quarter as productive per CPU.)

Hey, you're the Mac person to ask, as far as I know. So if I said it wrong, beat me. :)

I don't know what a PowerMac is versus a P4 of anything.

Presicely. You figured most

Presicely. You figured most of the issue out. 1) Im a knowitall that actually doesnt. Hense the 3.4 2processor translated as a 340 1 proc. :)

But what is a good answer! I figured like Odysseus that this iMac G5 1.8Ghz 20 inch that sits lazily on my desktop is only earning a fourth the kudos that that ugly Pentium HP DeskHog is getting. So uglier is worth more?

Im really hoping some Guru can teach me how to raise the floating point processors speed. Who is the guy on NAVY's crew that makes his Mac scream! He looks like he is getting 2000 points a day and all im getting is 120.

Help, pretty please. I promise to give you all the credit if i can just make mine hum for Einstein.... Oh, and give some money to my African Village at http://www.mtangani.org (nobody commercial prospers at that site.... we just give em money to get water and keep little kids alive to be hungry longer)
