I am making connection. I have not suspended work and I did not indicate to send no new work. Why don't I get new work?

Why can't I get new work?
)
You are doing more than one project? The way the scheduler works is on a debt system, so you are probably over your debt on Einstein so other project(s) are running until the debt is repaid.
Read the WIKI on this error.

Can I have that again in english please :) and a direct link to the wiki area - I can't find it in the mass of info - it's sort of like you have to be able to spell to use a dictionary so you can check your spelling!
RE: ... and a direct link

The Wiki is available from the Einstein homepage. I'll provide you with a link, but not an explanation. This "no work" issue has been covered ad nauseum throughout the helpdesk boards; if you bother to check before posting, you'll most likely find the answers to most of your questions. Here is the link to the BoincWiki.

Well, my signature had the direct link to the WIKI in big bold letters.
If you run more than one project, there is a debt sysem for resources. So if you are doing 20% Einstein and 80% something else, it tallies the time it took to do certain work. Say Einstein ran for 4 hours, and now the other project needs to run 16 hours to catch up. This will set a disallow new work for a while.
Even worse, if you stop a project for a while, that debt will climb until you restart it, and then all that time will have to be paid back.
So in essence, Einstein thinks it has done too much for now, and is waiting until enough time on the other project(s) catch up.
If your machine is in Earliest Deadline First (EDF) mode, it also will not allow other projects to download. If you keep a large cache of results to crunch, and BOINC thinks it can not finish them before the deadline, it stops all new work from projects.
Just simple weights and measures (well not that simple)...

Sorry, I look up words all the time that I can't spell! When you find the word you think you want just check to see what the word means!

In my case I did have my E@H set to "No New Work" in order to reach 30,000 in S@H.
I have now set E@H to "Allow New Work" and I am not getting any. Since I been running S@H I would think BOINC would run E@H to make up for the time I been running S@H. It's been set to "Allow Work" for a week and still nothing.

Post the last 20-30 messages, let us see what it's trying to tell you.

My guess is that Einstein does not support the optimized BOINC application.

Is the button actually showing Allow new work? For if it is, you have set the project to not request new work. The button doesn't show what state it is in, it gives the option to go to the next state. So for EAH to get new work, the button should read No new work.
