Hi all,
I am building a website about helping the newbies to start with BOINC and other grid computing projects.
Actually, i am building a list about the specifications for starting with a project, can you help me please?.
I need to know on many OS (Operation System) this project works, so i can update this list https://sciencenerd.it/calcolo-distribuito/progetti-boinc-come-scegliere/ (is in italian , but i will translate in all languages :P)
Also, i am mapping the BOINC community around the world,
if you want to introduce your team, just leave a comment on these pages, including the name of the team and the logo.

Go into the Boinc Manager and click on 'add project' under 'Tools', as you click on each project it will show you little icons representing the OS each project can use and if they can use gpu's which kind they can use, amd or nvidia. The list is NOT perfect nor updated in any kind of regular basis but it is a start.

Yeah, this is for "supported" projects, but exists some projects as BURP http://burp.renderfarming.net/ that aren't listed on BOINC software, so for help a project like that, the user need to put the link, and know if it will work on his computer or not.
Also, some projects that "supports" for an example Linux, have their APP obsolete, and it will not work on some distros (as example: Works on linux 16.04 , but not on 14.04 or 17.10) , and this information isn't written anywhere.
I am asking on forums because people that tried with their OS already know if it will work or not![Embarassed Embarassed](https://einsteinathome.org/sites/all/libraries/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)
Anyway, Do you know some teams that i can contact for register them as "official" team of a country?, because except Seti USA, Germany (That they don't answer idk why), and BOINC italy , i don't know any team to include on the maps.
Thanks for the answers.

I agree it's a pain.
Those are just names of Teams, there is no "official" project for the US or most Countries, it's alot like mikey, it's a form of my name but there are lots of us out there. Vincenzo would be the same, just a name perhaps one your family gave you, but it doesn't have to be. I have a friend who's using the name "Swift Mallard" and "Purple Rabbit" depending on which project he crunches for, another uses Dune Finkleberry but they have no relationship to their real names, they are just names they chose to crunch under.
No problem.
For "BOINC National teams" i

For "BOINC National teams" i mean people that have the share the same language, and nation.
of course i know that doesn't exists "official national teams" , but, somebody need to know if a "Country" (Example, USA) have an active community of volunteers for research projects.
Maybe you already heard of projects like ZOOniverse, Fold.it ... Without a community, tutorial, and such things, is boring to contribuite, also, a difficult thing for not "tech" people. :)

Yes I agree a Team is a very good thing both for competing with each other and to share tech stuff and settings too.
