When will "Choose Project" interface work?

As it stands now, one can only unsubscribe from Aricebo related work units.

Some of us would prefer "Aricebo only" work units.

As the 5th search via the optical method -- its codebase is slightly less stable.

Program instability may or may not be a science codebase issue, but more than likely a OS interfacing issue.

It works exactly as intended right now.

The primary task of the project is the analysis of LIGO data, searching for gravity waves (GW). The Admins have chosen to make this 'always selected'. You can opt in or out of the secondary search (ABPS) as you see fit.

The Admins would prefer that all participants are supporting at least the primary search for GW.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here. If you are referring to the stability of the codebase from which the current search application has been built, that code has been developed over a long period and is probably at its highest stability at the moment. You seem to be suggesting that stability is deteriorating with each successive search run. Please realise that the sensitivity of the LIGO data has improved significantly over time as the instrument hardware and performance have been improved and the sensitivity of the search algorithm has also significantly improved as the programmers have introduced new and improved search techniques. It seems to me that both these factors make it even more desirable to be involved with the current GW search (and the future searches with further sensitivity improvements) if you want to be there when GWs are finally detected.

Can you specify what supposed 'program instability' you are talking about as I'm not seeing anything abnormal on my machines.

Cheers,
Gary.
