I keep getting download errors from Einstein because of my AV program. I was getting the same from Seti until I "whitelisted" the Seti download servers. I need to do the same with Einstein. However I don't see any kind of download server identified in the Einstein SSP page. Can anyone help me out with the name or the URL of the server that actually feeds me work when I request it?? TIA.

What's the URL of the Einstein download server?

Look in client_state.xml for the xml tag ''. Einstein has multiple download servers, for different file types and in some cases for different geographic regions around the world, selected by 'nearest timezone'.

For application binaries, I'm seeing

http://einstein2.aei.uni-hannover.de
http://einstein-dl.syr.edu
http://einstein-dl3.phys.uwm.edu

For task data files, mine come from

http://einstein1.aei.uni-hannover.de

(but I'm only running one task type)

And some graphics files came from

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu

Thanks Richard, boy you weren't kidding when you said the downloaded tasks came from all over. Besides the ones you listed I also download tasks from:
http://einstein.ligo.caltech.edu
http://einstein-dl2.phys.uwm.edu

Multiple servers spreads the cost of network traffic (E@H uses enough that just paying for the bandwidth costs real money), offers redundancy (it's unlikely multiple major universities and research labs will all go down at once), and improves overall network performance (your ISP is more likely to have a fat pipe to local servers and it reduces traffic on ocean cables).
