After waiting the Client starts all over and begins again to download the *.pdb...
Is it possible, that pdb-Files can be used to transport hazard-code (not from You)... ?
I'm sitting behind a relative strict Firewall...
Any suggestions what to do?

First of all, the pdb file is a symbol table or something of that nature that goes along with the science app (I don't recall exactly and I couldn't find it in the WIKI right off the bat).
Regarding the DL failure, I have had that happen at times, and is usually due to problems getting through to and staying connected to one of the mirror sites for EAH. I just connected a new machine to EAH last nite and it took awhile to get all the files intially.
