I am reading The Temple Tiger by Jim Corbett.

Jim Corbett is a naturalist who hunted man eaters in India in the early part of the 20th century..

From what i have been reading Corbett had great respect for wildlife and never hunted for trophy sport. Most of the animals including tigers and leopards were cunning but diseased and had problems hunting naturally. Besides we humans are tough and taste bad and a tiger or leopard would have to hard up and starving to go after us. :-)
