Hi everyone,

I'm trying to attach the Einstein project to BOINC but for some reason, it fails.

Oke, what am I doing?

1) Just start the Attach to Project wizard and fill in the Einstein project URL (http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/)

--> right here, BOINC communicates with the project.

2) Account information: I'm filling in my existing account info (email address and password)

--> right here, BOINC communicates with the project.

And this communication takes quite a while to complete.

3) The message I get, it that BOINC failed to attach the project. I have to click Finish to close and the small box "Messages from server:" is empty.

Fine, I click finish and the result is: an Einstein project line is added to the Projects tab. Too bad that I don't get not single error message in the Messages tab (see below)

Has anyone else experienced this before? I had the same issue with the SETI project but after a while BOINC could attach anyway and process some work units, so perhaps it may have something to do with the communication itself but I'm not sure.

Any help here would be very welcome, thanks.

Kind regards,
Andy.

Weird "attach to project" problem

No need to answer, I figured it out myself. It is necessary to set the manager in Run mode instead of Suspend mode, at least this solved my problem.
