wallpaper picture gone

    Hi folks, just wondering, I run Eoinc-Einstein on WXPPro. But always when I get back to work on my pc and I loose the screensaver my wallpaper picture is gone and I have to reset it. PLEASE does anyone knows why is that happening? THX in advance for anything.....

      Hi Everyone,

      same thing happens on my computer, win XP Home SP3. Started suddenly a week ago, without any deliberate changes having been made prior to the occurence. After the first time the screensaver starts up, the wallpaper is gone, leaving only the background color. After rebooting the computer the wallpaper reappears and vanishes upon first start of the BOINC screensaver. Reinstalling BOINC does not make a difference. Changing to another screensaver ( windows internal or external) cures the problem. Other than that, everything is running fine. Any ideas anybody, please help!

        I do not know the answer to your problems but do know that running the screensaver uses cpu time that could be used for crunching the units instead. In other words...use the power button when you walk away from the pc and set the screen to just go blank after 2 minutes, you will save energy and crunch faster too.

          Hi folks, I kind of solved it. Because my old lcd broke I got a new 24" lcd with 1920x1080 resolution and it stopped.
          The wllpaper picture is stil there. Hope it will help somehow.
