Wondering if the validator or something is down? I haven't seen a change in RAC or Total Credit for at least 24 hours, and my Pending credit is soaring (over 5000 now). Just curious.
I guess so (just another user so use a large grain of salt). My pending is over 2,000, and its never been there before, and my total and rac haven't moved either.

Yes. Bruce shut down the validator for the time being to help with our testing of the new server.
We should be running E@h off the new server really soon.

Okay, that's cool, just wondering. I'll just keep crunching and racking up the pending credits. Hope that new server is up for a good workout when it comes online. ;-)
BTW, those new large work units weren't a problem, for me at least, though a few did seem to error. Time wasn't an issue.
The validator is now back up and running well. As David said, I shut it down because I wanted to accumulate a couple of days of results so that I could test it on a good-sized amount of work. We did find and fix a couple of bugs that were marking some valid results as being invald.
One difference you will now notice is that with our upgraded BOINC server-side software, results will 'stick around' for a week before they are purged from the database. So valid (and invalid) results will now be available 'for your viewing pleasure' for a week after the work unit is completed.

Yes. The validator has been shut down because a bug was found that caused some correct results to be marked as invalid when they were correct. As I understand the bug has been fixed and the new validator will be put in place soon.
In the bigger picture we a getting close to doing another major upgrade that will take us one step closer to our public release.
I, a mere user, guess that is up again. Else why would my Pending, which 12 hours ago cracked the 3,000 mark, have suddenly dropped to zero (never been below 800 before). Unless they decided to dump the lot.
ps. Got some new WUs too, for the first time in days. :)

Well I know that I got credit for most of my pending yesterday, before they got wiped out. More then 5,700 cobblestones all in one swoop. Anything that had been validated by 2 other machines got credit. Wish every day could be like that.

Is the validator down again?
I have seen some WU's with three or four results back, still on pending.
Or are there other reasons for this?
