Yesterday (Aug. 27), I crunched six work units on my MacBook (1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, BOINC 5.4.9, Einstein S5R1 4.03). Three of those work units are marked with validation errors. I've already been told that two of them (#12792049 and 12877134) were probably not compressed properly. However, the third one (#12873155) had been originally marked as a "Success" with 120.75 credits pending. Now I see that the status has been changed to "Validate error" and no credits are either claimed or pending. Can anyone shed some light on what is going on?
Thanks.

Validation errors

First off success validate. Success only means downloaded, crunched, returned and reported correctly.
The result was not a close enough match. When it came back from you and they tried to match it with the other one, you got "Checked but no consensus yet", meaning the numbers were just a little fruther off than they like. Then they sent a copy to a 3rd person. When that one returned, they 3 were checked, the two that got credit were close enough, and yours was deemed too different, alas making it a validate error.
Since I believe there is a way we are regular users can see the numbers, maybe one of the Dev team can look and tell you how far off it was, and what they think might have caused it.
