Hi, dont know if any one can throw any light on a recent WU that has failed to validate, the result ID is 68792933 WU ID 26373668, CPU time 16,240.30 Credits claimed 86.0240740740741 Credits granted 0 ?
Not sure what to look for in the log file but the same WU has failed to validate for another user?

Validation Error
)
From this post by Bernd:
It looks like a wrong version of the validator had been installed.
The one responsible for this had been found and shot. Now there's no way to fix it anymore.
Seriously: Bruce will be the first awake with the permissions to fix it, so this should be cured tomorrow morning (CET). All results that have been marked "validate error" should be validated again, probably there's nothing wrong with them.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we're all a bit short on sleep.

They have been fixed. I had a couple invalid last night, and now all are valid and with points.

...but there is a special situation, where you don't get credits... :-(
see this special WU where I got no credits at all...
My assumption:
The first two results got status 'invalid' because of the validation error.
The WU was sent out 2 more times.
The other two hosts returned a result which got validated.
Bruce (or Bernd) corrected all WUs with validation error but at this time the quorum was already built and the first two WUs were to late...
Bernd, is there any chance to get the credits nevertheless?

Udo, you really did have a most unlucky experience with that workunit. I reckon you are on the ball with your assumptions. The unlucky bit was that the two additional results must have both been finished and reported after the old validator had been taken down (otherwise they would have been marked invalid too) but before the new validator had a chance to clean up. This work unit that one of my boxes had, is in a similar position - initially marked invalid and 2 new results sent out. However, the new validator must have got to it before the extra results were returned since all 4 got credit.
I'm sure Bruce will fix your problem if it's at all possible to do so.
Cheers,
Gary.
Another example of a workunit

Another example of a workunit where two more results were finished before the validator could recheck the original two results that had been marked invalid? Any chance of someone in power checking the two original results?
Thanks, czesc - Chris
