I had problems with an old computer when I started Einstein@Home and had to uninstall. My sister gave me her old computer, but she still shows up as owner. The record here shows as if there are two computers and unfortunately it looks like CPU credits are showing on her list, not mine--which means that my team, "The Spaceport Team" isn't getting credit for my CPU's.
I noticed a merge button and tried doing that, but it doesn't look like it worked. Can someone help?

E@H is working under your personel ID not under the "owner" of a computer and that number should be unique.
Futher more it can run only ONE user (WU) per computer (for single (virtual)proccessor), so when only you are running the credit is yours.
In the team stats I 'am also missing your name ? so they won't credited anyway, please check.
Merging can only be performed if the same OS and processor show up. Your stats show two totally different machines that never can be merged, You can delete one as long as no points are credited and all WU's have disappeared from the list.

The problem is--my credits are showing on the "owners" information as CPUs and Results. My list shows nothing. I'll check about the name. Thanks.

If she already had BOINC
)
If she already had BOINC installed, you are going to have to detach and re-attach with your account information.

No. When I first installed
)
No. When I first installed BOINC I was on a different computer. My sister gave me her old one, which was better than what I had, so I downloaded anew. Unfortunately, her records were picked up and it shows as a second computer. Actually, it seems to be working OK, as I have been given credit even though it shows on her list. Thanks for your advice though.

It looks like she had BOINC installed. When she gave it to you, she uninstalled. Uninstalling BOINC leaves all of the work and project settings intact. Your machine is still attached to her accounts. You will have to detach, and attach using your the information that you received in your email.
