Warten.

Typischerweise gegen Mitternacht wird's besser.

Das kann ich aus mehrfacher Erfahrung bestätigen. Aber schön ist das nicht. Es verhagelt mir meine Statistik.

Herzliche Grüße und viel Spaß beim Crunchen

Well, it's not like we are

Well, it's not like we are entertaining ourselves while seeing you suffer.

Actually, we're following a couple of paths in parallel:

- The ultimate solution would be a new server (or actually a couple of these). These need to be specified, ordered, delivered and set up, which all takes some time, but we're already on it.

- We are trying to find and free an existing server with enough CPU and disk space to take over for a while. That solution should be faster to implement than a new server. But it's not clear yet how much the older hardware of existing machines will help, and given their age, their reliability is also pretty limited.

- Today we paired a second server with the existing one. The setup is convoluted and hackish, and it still isn't clear yet how much it will help. We'll see on Sunday.

Thank you very much for your contribution to Einstein@home, your cooperation and your patience.

And that pretty much sums it up.

Like we have discussed in another thread, I have changed my buffering (0.1 to 2 days) so that I possibly won't go dry this Sunday.

I hope your workaround doesn't break anything else.

Thanks for the update about

Thanks for the update about the additional upload server.

However I doubt it will be needed as most Volta/Turing/Ampere card users have aborted all their GR work and set NNT.

I hope you turn your attention next to this endemic problem with the current GR LATeah3001L00 tasks which stall out and never finish.

Thanks, no problem.

We appreciate your efforts to find a solution.  Great work here on E @ H.

Nobody should grumble about the project and/or the techies.

We (at least I am) are crunching for sience, not for personal statistics.

So have a nice weekend, as far as possible.
