Unrecoverable Error?

I've been on SETI for awhile and decided to switch over to BOINC about a week or so ago (Version 4.45). I added Einstein to my Project list and started to process data. However, it appears that only one WU has actually been processed in that entire time. It seems to take me about 14 hours or so to process an Einstein WU, but nearly every time I try to upload the results I get the following message:

6/19/2005 9:16:06 AM|Einstein@Home|Unrecoverable error for result H1_0257.5__0257.6_0.1_T24_Fin1_3 ( - exit code -1073741795 (0xc000001d))

This hasn't happened just once, but probably something like four or five times.

Anybody have any idea how to prevent this? If I don't end up sending anything, it seems like a waste of computing time, not to mention not helping the project.

The SETI portion of my Project list is not having any problems at all.

Unrecoverable Error?

The 0xc000001d afaik is an "illegal instruction" error, which looks pretty bad. I think the App binary has been damaged on you harddisk. Try stopping the BOINC client, remove the einstein_*.exe file from the BOINC/projects/einstein* folder and start the client again. It should download a new binary.

However it might not be the App itself that is broken, but also a broken system lib, ususally graphics driver. Is this error related to the graphics? What happens if you switch off the screensaver (and don't run the graphics in a window)?
