I find it impossible to zoom into the sphere to see southern hemisphere constellations in the same way as you can with northern hemisphere constellations. It appears as if the animation doesn't allow the user to tilt the sphere further than the equator. This is the only way you would be able to zoom into the sphere and see the southern constellations move about the southern pole

I see what you mean. Clearly all the people involved in coding this are living on the northern hemisphere (as are the detectors...).
There are quite some minor things to be done on the graphics, I'll add this to the list. However I don't know when I or anyone else will have time for this.
