'Not requesting' is not the same thing as 'not receiving'.
Requesting no work (it would be expressed as 0 seconds, rather than 0 tasks) is usually either a debt ("You've done lots of work for Einstein recently: now let someone else have a chance") or a deadline ("Ooops - a.n.project is going to have a problem getting (all that) work back by deadline - I'd better concentrate all your resources on that one for a while").
If, on the other hand, your problem is receiving 0 tasks, after you've asked for nnnnn seconds, then we have to look elsewhere. Either way, more information is needed.

David,
You'll need to post the messages that the BOINC client is giving you when you attempt to update.
Almost always it will give a reason why it's not requesting any more work.

That seems no longer to be the case :-) according to other posts.
Nevertheless, Thunder is right, we need more information. Perhaps you should add some 20 lines from the last restart of BOINC.

Yep, after reading a lot of other posts about how message have been "dumbed down" in 6.2.x I always add the word "Almost". ;)
