Does anyone have a fix for the link buttons on the left side of the Projects or Tasks screens. My issue is when I click on any of the buttons ex. Einstein Status the link opens up Mozilla Thunderbird instead of Firefox. I am running 6.4.7 but it was also doing this on the previous version of Boinc. I could get this to work fine in Fedora 9 I might add. Any clues would be glady appreciated.

The problem is that Thunderbird has somehow been designated as your operating system's default web browser. Yep, you could designate BOINC as your default web browser and your OS would neither know it was wrong or care.

Ageless has a fix for your problem, somewhere I don't remember but I know it works. I bet it's in the BOINC FAQ.

If Ageless' linked info

If Ageless' linked info doesn't work for you, here is a couple of different possible solutions, the first being Gnome specific, at least for Ubuntu.

"System" -> "Preferences" -> "Preferred Applications" -> Choose your default via the "Internet" tab

or

sudo update-alternatives --config x-www-browser

Thanks for the quick help

Thanks for the quick help guys but Im sorry to say to no avail. At least on checking on my Preferred Apps section it is setup correctly already. I also tried the browswer command that was also posted it basically said I only had one browser and there was nothing to else to configure. Im not sure how to edit the etc/profile file. I am not sure where to insert the information the browser needs there.
